Who’s the animation character in the image for this page? Stay tuned!

I got my start in animation by accident. When I was about 18, a job center in Dublin, Ireland sent me to an interview based on my painting experience—painting walls, that is. It was actually an animation studio looking for a cel painter. I don’t know who was more surprised, but somehow I passed the test. Over a 20-year career I became a character animator, producing more than 100 feet of animation for two studios and eight films. I also taught animation to elementary school and college students. I had the opportunity to work with an awesome team of artists from all over the world, many of whom are friends to this day. I’ve loved seeing where these artists have ended up—from illustrating children’s books to starting animation studios of their own.

Here are my film credits. You can find links and further info on my IMDb page: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2263575/. (Sorry I can’t show my work here—copyright infringement and all that.)
